Kalpataru Piping Solution manufactures and supplies nickel alloy pipes and tubes in seamless and welded construction, engineered for high purity process lines, caustic service and applications where iron or carbon pickup from the pipe wall cannot be tolerated. Our nickel alloy pipe and tube range is supplied in Nickel 200 and Nickel 201, both commercially pure nickel grades running over 99 percent nickel content, built to ASTM B161 and B163 (ASME SB161, SB163), in sizes from 1/8 inch to 24 inch NB. Every order ships with full mill certification, so the correct grade for your operating temperature is confirmed before dispatch.

Choosing the Right Nickel Alloy Grade
Nickel 200 is the general purpose grade for standard service. Nickel 201 is a low carbon version made specifically for service above 315°C (600°F), where Nickel 200’s higher carbon content can graphitize and embrittle the metal. Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between Nickel 200 and Nickel 201?
Nickel 201 has a lower carbon content, which prevents embrittlement above 315°C. Use Nickel 200 for general service and Nickel 201 for high temperature service.
Can Nickel 200 pipe be used above 600°F?
Not recommended. Above roughly 315°C, carbon in Nickel 200 can graphitize and weaken the material. Nickel 201 is the correct choice for that range.
What documentation comes with a nickel alloy pipe order?
A mill test certificate to EN 10204 3.1 as standard, with PMI and third-party inspection available on request.
What sizes and schedules are available?
Nickel alloy pipe and tube is available from 1/8 inch to 24 inch NB, in schedules from SCH 5S to SCH 160, seamless and welded.
Is nickel alloy pipe suitable for caustic soda service?
Yes. Commercially pure nickel is one of the most widely used materials for caustic soda handling, since it resists caustic and reducing chemicals extremely well.
How is nickel alloy pipe different from Inconel or Monel pipe?
