Super Duplex Steel Pipes & Tubes Supplier in India
Home > Super Duplex Steel Products > Super Duplex Pipes & Tubes
Super duplex steel pipes and tubes are high-performance steel materials that are used in different applications for exceptional strength and corrosion resistance. They are made up of balanced austenitic-ferritic material; that make them highly resistant to corrosion during harsh conditions. These pipes and tubes can be produced through seamless, welded, ERW and EFW methods in accordance with the international standards of various grades. The most common grades used are UNS S32750 (2507) and UNS S32760 owing to their good mechanical characteristics and strength in extreme conditions. Super Duplex Steel Pipes & Tubes are used to a great extent for the oil & gas industry, offshore platforms, desalination plants, chemical processing, marine engineering, pulp & paper industry and heat exchanger systems. Kalpataru Piping is one of the reputed Super Duplex Steel Pipes & Tubes Suppliers in India and provides high-quality steel pipes & tubes in standard and customized specifications as per different industries’ requirements.

Super Duplex Steel Pipe Price
The price of super duplex steel pipes depends on grade (S32750 or S32760), pipe type (seamless or welded), size, schedule, wall thickness, quantity, and testing requirements. Due to their higher alloy content and superior mechanical and corrosion-resistant properties, super duplex pipes are priced higher than standard duplex stainless steel pipes.
| Pipe Type | Size Range | Schedule / Wall Thickness | Approximate Price Range |
| Super Duplex Seamless Pipe | 1/8″ to 24″ NB | SCH 10s to SCH XXS | Rs 850 to 1,300 per kg |
| Super Duplex Welded Pipe | 1/2″ to 48″ NB | SCH 5s to SCH 40s | Rs 700 to 1,050 per kg |
| Super Duplex ERW Pipe | 1/2″ to 24″ NB | SCH 10s to SCH 40s | Rs 720 to 1,100 per kg |
| Super Duplex EFW Pipe | 6″ to 100″ NB | As required | Rs 750 to 1,150 per kg |
| Super Duplex Tubes | 6 mm to 114.3 mm OD | 0.5 mm to 12 mm | Rs 680 to 1,000 per kg |
Note: prices are indicative and vary with grade, size, schedule, testing requirements, quantity and raw material cost. For accurate, current pricing, contact us for a project-specific quotation.
Super Duplex Pipe Material Grades & Standards
Super duplex stainless steel pipes are produced to internationally accepted standards including ASTM A789 and A790. UNS S32750 (ASTM A240 / A790) is characterized by high strength and outstanding pitting and crevice corrosion resistance. UNS S32760 (ASTM A789 / A790) is more resistant to seawater and hostile chloride environments.
Types of Super Duplex Steel Pipes and Tubes
Super Duplex Pipes & Tubes Applications
- Power plant industry
- Pulp and paper industry
- Refining industry
- Shipbuilding industries
- Oil and gas industry
- Chemical processing
ASTM A790 / ASTM A789 Super Duplex Pipe Manufacturing Process
- Steel making: super duplex steel is made using an Electric Arc Furnace and Vacuum Oxygen Decarburization, balancing chromium, nickel, molybdenum and nitrogen for the required performance.
- Pipe manufacturing: pipes are produced through seamless and cold-finished processes for dimensional precision, uniform wall thickness, and higher mechanical capability, without a weld seam for high-pressure and harsh service.
- Heat treatment: super duplex pipes cannot be hardened through conventional heat treatment. They are supplied in the solution-annealed condition to restore the correct microstructure, improve corrosion resistance, and relieve internal stress from manufacturing.
- Pricing: super duplex pipe price depends on grade (S32750 or S32760), pipe type (seamless or welded), size, schedule, wall thickness, quantity and testing. Higher alloy content and corrosion resistance make super duplex pipes more expensive than standard duplex.
Testing of Super Duplex Stainless Steel Round Pipes
- Hardness test: confirms hardness and consistency of the material.
- Mechanical test (tensile and elongation): verifies strength, yield, and ductility.
- Intergranular corrosion (IGC) test: checks resistance to corrosion across grain boundaries.
- Positive material identification (PMI) test: confirms chemical composition and grade.
- Chemical analysis (spectro analysis): measures alloying elements accurately.
- Micro and macro examination: inspects internal structure and identifies defects.
- Flattening test: verifies pipe integrity and weld compression quality.
- Flaring test: tests ductility and formability.
- Pitting test: establishes resistance to localized corrosion under chloride conditions.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Super Duplex Steel Pipe?
A high-performance stainless steel pipe with a balanced austenitic and ferritic microstructure, delivering outstanding strength, corrosion resistance and durability for harsh service environments.
In which applications are super duplex pipes used?
Offshore oil and gas, chemical processing, desalination systems, marine systems, high-pressure power generation, and industrial high-pressure piping.
What grades of super duplex steel pipes are available?
UNS S32750, UNS S32760, and Zeron 100, along with other ASTM-qualified super duplex stainless steel materials supplied to ASTM A790 and ASTM A789.
What is the wall thickness range of super duplex welded tubes?
Wall thickness typically ranges from 0.5 mm to 20 mm, depending on tube size, schedule and application.
What is the critical crevice temperature of super duplex stainless steel pipes?
