Super duplex stainless steel pipes are produced to internationally accepted standards including ASTM A789 and A790. UNS S32750 (ASTM A240 / A790) is characterized by high strength and outstanding pitting and crevice corrosion resistance. ASTM A790 / ASTM A789 Super Duplex Pipe Manufacturing Process

  • Steel making: super duplex steel is made using an Electric Arc Furnace and Vacuum Oxygen Decarburization, balancing chromium, nickel, molybdenum and nitrogen for the required performance.
  • Pipe manufacturing: pipes are produced through seamless and cold-finished processes for dimensional precision, uniform wall thickness, and higher mechanical capability, without a weld seam for high-pressure and harsh service.
  • Heat treatment: super duplex pipes cannot be hardened through conventional heat treatment. They are supplied in the solution-annealed condition to restore the correct microstructure, improve corrosion resistance, and relieve internal stress from manufacturing.
