SMO 254 Threaded Flanges whose design enables combining improved resistance to pitting, high strength, stress corrosion, crevice corrosion, and cracking. SMO 254 Flange is categorized in austenitic stainless steel with a Molybdenum content not less than 6%, that is why this alloy is also called 6Mo and was formulated for usage in seawater and chloride environments. With high ductility and impact strength, SMO 254 is a cheaper alternative to high nickel alloys and titanium alloys in some applications.
