What is Hastelloy C276 Plate & Sheet?
Hastelloy is a nickel-molybdenum and chromium alloy, available in various grades depending on specific properties. Hastelloy C276 Plate is one such grade, containing trace amounts of tungsten, offering excellent resistance to corrosion across a wide temperature range. Recommended by Hastelloy Plate suppliers, it resists crevice corrosion, pitting, and oxidation, making it ideal for general corrosive services. The low carbon content in ASTM B575 UNS N10276 ensures reduced carbide precipitation during welding, maintaining corrosion resistance even in welded conditions. Additionally, in the heat-affected welded area, ASME SB 575 UNS N10276 demonstrates resistance to grain boundary precipitation, making it suitable for chemical processes involving welding.
Hastelloy Alloy C276 Plate meets both chemical and mechanical requirements of the grade. Capable of high-definition plasma, waterjet cutting, shearing, and beveling, it undergoes solution heat treatment at 2050 degrees C. Hot-formed parts of Nickel Alloy C276 Strips require heat treatment before final fabrication. Hastelloy C276 Plate finds extensive applications in oil and gas, petrochemical, chemical, drainage treatment, and pharmaceutical industries. Sheets are less than 3mm thick, while Plates are thicker than 3mm, both easily fabricated using conventional welding methods.
Supplied to various industries, our 2.4819 Plates are durable and reliable. Hastelloy C276 Strips excel under high mechanical stress and temperature, while Hastelloy C276 Coil can be strengthened through different methods like solid solution hardening and precipitation hardening.
