AISI 4130 / SAE 4130 Flanges

AISI 4130 Pipe Flanges, SAE 4130 Lap Joint Flanges, AISI 4130 Forged Flanges Manufacturer, Alloy Steel AISI 4130 Ring Types Joint Flanges, AISI 4130 Slip on Flanges, ASME B16.5 Pipe Flanges, AISI 4130 RTJ Flange Supplier in India.

SAE 4130 or AISI 4130 is an alloy composed of 100% austenitic & is applied as filler metal in the welding of steel with mild and low-alloy steels. AISI 4130 flanges are produced using the content of material composition that contains 97 percent of iron, plus carbon, manganese, silicon, phosphorus, sulfur, molybdenum, nickel and chromium. These flanges are very strong and wear and corrosion resistant because of the addition of chromium and molybdenum as strengthening agents.

These AISI 4130 flanges have outstanding mechanical characteristics, with minimum tensile strength of 560MPa, as well as minimum yield strength of 460MPa. These flanges have a lower density of 7.85 g/cm 3 which makes them lighter compared to other materials. Melting point is also very high and this increases their longevity in extreme conditions. Austenitizing is the most prevalent procedure to be used to machine AISI 4130 flanges as it converts micro-constituents to austenite. The precise temperature of this process depends on the chemical composition, section size and method of cooling. AISI 4130 flanges are forged and then austenitized at temperatures over 1600 o F to attain the desired strength. SAE 4130 Flanges are also weldable on quenched and tempered steels such as ballistic steels. AISI 4130 flanges can be easily machined using the conventional methods, and they are best machinable when in a normalized and tempered state.

Manufacturer & Supplier of AISI 4130 Flanges

Kalpataru Piping Solutions deals in manufacturing, supplying and exportation of Alloy Steel Flanges with wide variety of AISI 4130 flanges. We are able to supply AISI 4130 Steel threaded flanges, AISI 4130 blind flanges, AISI 4130 high shaft flanges, AISI 4130 flat flanges, AISI 4130 gate flanges and AISI 4130 loose flanges of different types and sizes. Our AISI4130 flanges are produced under API 6A 60K flange specifications, AISI 4130 flanges of various sizes; 1/2 inch through 48 inch nominal bore, pressure rating of PN6 to PN64 and are designed to meet the most demanding performance.

At Kalpataru Piping Solutions, we believe that besides offering high quality flanges, we will also offer flanges that are easy to use, have outstanding appearance of weld and high weld metal integrity. Our Threaded Flanges, AISI 4130 and UNS G41300 Socket Weld Flanges, are specifically designed to be used in interlayers in hard-facing applications, and are typically used in rutile-coated electrodes to join and coating steels. These products are exceptionally resistant to caustic alkalis even in the molten form and are specifically applicable to high-sulfur and phosphorus steels. The quality that we are bound to uphold is that all the AISI 4130 flanges will be precise to the application of different fields.

Frequently Asked Questions About AISI 4130 Flanges

What is 4130 Steel?
4130 is a low-alloy steel grade known for its strength, toughness, and weldability. It contains chromium and molybdenum as strengthening agents, making it ideal for high-stress applications.
How Does AISI 1018 Differ from 4130 Steel?
The main difference between AISI 1018 and 4130 lies in their alloy content. AISI 1018 is a mild carbon steel with lower strength and hardness, while 4130 is an alloy steel with higher tensile strength, toughness, and wear resistance due to the addition of chromium and molybdenum.
What is the Best Way to Weld AISI 4130 Steel?
To weld AISI 4130, use a TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) or MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding method. Preheat the material to around 300°F to avoid cracking, and control the cooling rate to ensure proper weld strength.
