Home > Monel Products > Monel Pipes & Tubes
Kalpataru Piping is a trusted manufacturer, supplier, and exporter of Monel pipes and Monel tubes, offering premium-quality Monel products in seamless and welded forms for critical industrial applications. We are a reputable supplier of Monel tubing and therefore have all sizes, schedules, and grades in stock and supply as required to both the standard and custom projects around the world. Our Monel pipe material has been acclaimed to have a high level of resistance to corrosion of sea water, acids, alkalis and high temperatures. We also provide Monel pipes and tubes that meet ASTM, ASME and other international standards, therefore they are reliable and possess a long service life. Products are strictly checked in terms of quality to achieve maximum quality.
We are an established Monel seamless Pipe exporter, which is providing pipes that are produced as per the ASTM B725 Monel seamless pipes requirements. These pipes are manufactured through sophisticated process in order to guarantee high pressure resistance, uniformity in wall thickness as well as good mechanical properties. Available in SCH, 10, 20, 40, 80, 160, and XXS, plain end, beveled end or custom finish.
Monel seamless pipes are ideal for:
- Services of high pressure and high temperature.
- Water and sub-sea conditions.
- Chemical and petrochemical processing.
- Gas exchangers, condensers and pipes.
Kalpataru Piping is also a trustworthy supplier of Monel Welded Pipes and the ERW and EFW pipes offered by this manufacturer are of international quality. The Monel welded pipe range has great dimensional precision, finely polished surface and standard performance. There are round, square, rectangular as well as hollow shapes.
Monel welded pipes are usually applied in:
- Oil & gas pipelines
- Refineries and power plants
- Low-pressure and structural applications.
- Manufactured and custom made piping systems.
Introduction to Monel Pipes & Tubes
The products based on Monel alloys are quite corrosion-resistant, nickel-alloy materials that come in various grades to be used in the harsh realities of industrial life. The Monel alloy products are common in the Aerospace Industry, marine engineering, oil and gas, and chemical processing industry. In the hydrocarbon processing, the ASME SB 165 seamless Monel pipes are subjected to exothermic reactions which produce heat, water and carbon dioxide. These three environments may easily wear out traditional steel. Monel alloys also have copper and this increases the resistance to corrosion especially under environments that involve alkalis, hydrofluoric acid, and sulfuric acid. This renders Monel ERW pipes, hollow pipes and hexagonal pipes to be applicable in high pressure transmission systems. The monel pipes and tubes are also known to maintain excellent mechanical qualities at low temperatures and they get stronger and hard with little or no loss of ductility. Different grades of Monel tubes are easily worked by hot and cold working, machining and welding such as Alloy 400 and K-500. In order to get a better idea of performance features of this alloy, visit our in-depth manual on Monel 400 material properties and applications. Long service life necessitates proper fabrication. To have best practices and technical recommendations, please check our expert guide on Monel 400 welding which discusses the heat control, filler and the welding method.

Monel Pipe Welding
The welding of monel pipes must be controlled to preserve corrosion resistance and mechanical strength of the alloy. Depending on the size and the use of the pipes, some of the common welding processes applied on Monel pipes are; Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIG), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW/MIG), Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) and Submerged Arc Welding (SAW).
The appropriate nickel-based filler metal is critical in order to have strong welds free of cracks. After welding, post-weld heat treatment is not typically necessary with Monel alloys; but, proper pre-weld and post-weld cleaning must be done to ensure that all surface contaminants are eliminated and that weld defects do not occur. Adequate management of the heat input is useful in maintaining the corrosion resistance and structural integrity of the Monel pipe material.
Detailed procedures, filler selection, and best practices Fillerer selection, preparation, welding techniques and inspection standards to use with Monel 400 in industry areas are discussed in our full guide on Monel 400 welding.

Monel 400 vs. Inconel 625 Pipes: What Is the Difference?
The Monel 400 pipes are highly designed in maritime as well as chemical applications with excellent corrosive protection and low cost. Inconel 625 pipes possess high temperature strength and resistance to oxidation and are therefore used in aerospace and power plants.
