Nickel Alloy Wiremesh Manufacturer and Supplier in India
Wire mesh is usually specified by what it has to hold back and what it has to survive. A fine screen used in caustic service is a different job from a support mesh near a furnace or a separator working with seawater. Kalpataru Piping is a manufacturer, supplier and exporter of nickel alloy wire mesh in Nickel 200 and 201, Monel, Inconel and Hastelloy grades, with woven, welded, hexagonal and knitted constructions available according to the application. Rolls, sheets and cut pieces can be supplied against the mesh count or aperture, wire diameter, width and length called for on the drawing or purchase order.
For Nickel 200 and Nickel 201 mesh, commercially pure nickel is often selected for alkaline service and for applications where its electrical or thermal properties are useful. Nickel 201 is the low-carbon grade and is generally preferred for prolonged service above about 315°C. Monel, Inconel and Hastelloy cover different corrosion and temperature conditions, so the alloy should be selected from the actual process chemistry, operating temperature and mechanical duty rather than treating every nickel alloy mesh as interchangeable.
What is Nickel Alloy Wiremesh?
Nickel alloy wire mesh is made by weaving, welding or knitting alloy wire into a defined opening pattern for filtration, screening, shielding, separation or support duties. The alloy should be chosen from the actual process conditions rather than from the product name alone. Monel grades are commonly considered for marine and seawater duties, selected Hastelloy grades for aggressive chemical service, and Inconel or other nickel-chromium grades where elevated-temperature oxidation resistance is important. Kalpataru Piping supplies:
- Woven Wiremesh — plain, twill, or Dutch weave patterns for standard filtration duty
- Welded Wiremesh — for structural screening and heavier-duty applications
- Hexagonal Wiremesh — for refractory lining support and reinforcement applications
- Knitted Wiremesh — for demisting and vapour-liquid separation
If the same project also requires nickel alloy perforated sheet or flanges, those product forms can be quoted separately, subject to the required alloy and current availability.

Applications
- Chemical and petrochemical processing filters
- Marine and offshore seawater filtration
- Power plant and energy sector screening
- Aerospace thermal protection and filtration
- Sugar and cement industry screening
- Catalyst support and reactor internals
- Desalination systems
If your process needs the same corrosion resistance in a different product form, we also supply nickel alloy pipes and tubes and instrumentation valves in matching grades.
Process, Manufacturing & Quality Control
Nickel alloy wire mesh should be checked against the ordered alloy, wire diameter, aperture or mesh count, width, length and construction before dispatch. For woven mesh, dimensional checks focus on the wire and opening tolerances required by the purchase specification. Welded and knitted products need the inspection points appropriate to their own construction rather than a woven-cloth checklist.
Inspection & Testing
- Visual and surface inspection
- Raw Material Verification
- Wire diameter and aperture or mesh-count verification
- Roll width and length verification
- Weave integrity or weld integrity check, as applicable
- PMI or additional NDT only when specified by the order
- Material chemistry review against the supplied MTC
- Third-Party Inspection (on request)
Packaging
Mesh rolls are packed to prevent damage and corrosion during transit, with export-grade packing available on request for international shipments.
Certifications & Standards
- ISO 9001:2015 — Quality Management
- ASTM E2016-22 for applicable industrial woven wire cloth; it does not cover Dutch weave or welded wire cloth

FAQs About Nickel Alloy Wiremesh
What's the difference between woven and welded nickel alloy wiremesh?
Woven mesh is made by interlacing wires and can be produced in different weave patterns for filtration and screening. Welded mesh fixes the wires at their intersections and is used where a more rigid screen or stable opening pattern is required. The better option depends on aperture, wire diameter, load and service conditions.
Which nickel alloy should I use for seawater filtration?
Monel 400 is often considered for seawater service, particularly where resistance to rapidly flowing seawater is required, but final selection still depends on temperature, flow velocity, aeration, galvanic coupling and the rest of the process chemistry.
What mesh counts and wire diameters do you supply?
Mesh count and wire diameter are selected together because they determine the opening and open area. Send the required mesh count or aperture, wire diameter, alloy, width and quantity, and the available construction can be confirmed for the selected grade.
Can nickel alloy wiremesh handle high-temperature service?
Yes, but the allowable temperature depends on the actual alloy, wire size and mechanical duty. Inconel and other nickel-chromium grades are often selected where oxidation resistance at elevated temperature is important, so the specific grade should be checked against the service conditions.
Do you supply mesh in custom roll sizes?
Yes. Rolls, sheets and cut pieces can be supplied to specified dimensions within the actual production range for the chosen alloy, weave, mesh count and wire diameter.
Do you provide material certification with the mesh?
Material certification can be supplied when it is included in the order. The document set should match the base wire or alloy and any inspection or testing specifically called for by the purchaser.
