Kalpataru piping is a reliable producer and distributor of Inconel pipes and tubes both locally and globally. Our products consist of a wide selection of ASTM B167 Inconel seamless pipes and welded pipes, ERW pipes, EFW pipes, and Inconel tubes that are available in different sizes, shapes, and wall-thickness to satisfy the industrial needs of many. We can also provide custom lengths of pipes, wall thickness and schedules to match project requirements, using grades of Inconel to use in industry.

We are the leading supplier of Inconel products, and this has made us observe that every product is produced with the highest quality raw materials and production technology, and the quality of the product is in line with the international standards of the products, including ASTM B167, ASTM B444, and ASME. The quality of all products is subject to intense quality tests, such as chemical tests, mechanical tests, hardness tests, flaring, and intergranular corrosion tests, before high standards are achieved at delivery. Being the major suppliers of Inconel pipes, we keep the available stock of standard sizes which are readily dispatched at specifications and provide all the required test certificates and documentation needed with international shipments. We use our Inconel pipes and tubes in most industries including aerospace, automotive, power generation, chemical and petrochemical, marine engineering, and oil and gas. They find extensive use in industrial heat exchangers, heaters, and condensers as they are resistant to corrosion and have good mechanical behavior therefore they can be used in chemical processing plant, refineries, and in other processes with extreme needs.

Introduction to Inconel Pipes & Tubes

Pipes and tubes are essential components in the infrastructure of manufacturing, construction, and chemical industries. Inconel alloy material, a member of the austenitic nickel-chromium superalloy family, forms a stable passivating oxide layer when exposed to high heat, protecting the surface from corrosion and degradation. High-performance Inconel alloy material designed to withstand extreme heat and corrosive environments. They are primarily nickel-based alloys, similar to Incoloy, Monel & Hastelloy, with variations in elemental composition according to application requirements. These alloys are used in manufacturing pipes, pipe fittings, seamless pipes, and clad pipes, protecting against oxidation and carburization in high-temperature industrial operations. Inconel pipes and tubes are typically manufactured using alloy grades including 600, 601, 625, 718, 800, and 825. Discover our detailed guide to choosing the right Inconel grades for industrial applications.

The manufacture, construction and chemical industries rely heavily on pipes and tubes as part of their infrastructure. Inconel alloy material is a part of the chromium nickel austenitic superalloy family of alloy that will develop stable passivating oxide over the surface when subjected to high temperature preventing corrosion and other degradation on the surface. Inconel alloy material is a high-performance material that is used in extremely hot and corrosive temperatures. They are mostly the same alloys as Incoloy in that they are nickel based alloys, except that the elemental composition is varied to meet the demands of the application. Such alloys are utilized in production of pipes, pipe fittings, seamless pipes and clad pipes to resist oxidation, and carburization of the pipe in high temperature industrial processes. Alloy grades 600, 601, 625, 718, 800, 825 are usually used to produce Inconel pipes and tubes. Learn all about our industrial guide to the selection of Inconel grades.

Inconel Pipe Welding Tips

Inconel pipes should be welded with caution since they crack under overheating. The process of TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding is the one that is most frequently suggested in welding ASTM B444 Inconel seamless pipes since it provides better heat management and the quality of the weld. Having low heat input, ensuring the weld has cooled off fully between passes and having a short stabilized arc length are some of the important welding tips. Consumes less heat (compared to stainless steel) by approximately 30-%. To ensure shielding and prevention against oxidation, it is important that high purity of the argon is used and a large diameter gas cup chosen so as to cover the welt area adequately.

Frequently Asked Questions About Inconel Pipes & Tubes

What is Inconel pipe used for?
Inconel pipe Inconel is produced using nickel-based superalloys, which are meant to work under high-temperature conditions, high-pressure and corrosive conditions. The grades like Inconel 625 find extensive application in aerospace, chemical processing, oil and gas, marine and power generation industries because they are very resistant to oxidation, cracking and corrosion
How does Inconel compare to stainless steel?
Pipes and tubes made of Inconel are much more resistant to corrosion and strength in high temperature than stainless steel. Although the Inconel is more costly, it performs better in high temperatures at high levels of aggressive chemicals, unlike stainless steels such as 17-4PH, resulting in the use of this type of alloy in highly demanding applications.
Does Inconel have higher strength than titanium?
Yes, in many cases. Inconel 718 can be used as an example with tensile strength of about 1,375 Mpa, more than Ti-6Al-4V titanium alloy of about 1,170 Mpa. Another benefit of Inconel is its superior performance under high temperatures and corrosion whereas titanium is usually chosen based on weight considerations.
What is Inconel tubing?
Inconel tubing is made of nickel-chromium alloys including Inconel 625, which boasts of high strength, excellent fabricability, as well as excellent corrosion resistance. These tubes can be used in high temperatures (cryogenic conditions) as well as high temperatures (980 C (1800 F) and hence can be applied in heat exchangers, condensers, and high-pressure systems.
How are Inconel 625 pipes and tubes available in size?
Seamless tubes made of Inconel 625 can be found in sizes between 4 mm and 219mm OD with wall thickness as thin as 0.5 mm to 20mm, and also welded and EFW Inconel pipes, which are available in the larger sizes, usually between 5mm and 1219.2mm on the.OD.
